"In a town full of impersonal, uncaring event vendors, John impressed us right off the bat. We immediately liked that he was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic, up-front, and honest with us — plus he was just plain fun. We hired him to cater our wedding at the Historical Museum, and we also hired him to be our day-of coordinator. It was one of the best choices we made. John was incredibly helpful during the planning process. We were working within a certain budget and he was able to suggest a variety of options and alternatives for us to help keep the numbers in check.He knows the event industry like the back of his hand — he was able to recommend the best vendors and venues to work with in the area, and he knew every detail of every step of the process. Having never planned a wedding before, we would have been absolutely lost without him.When it came down to the actual wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. The entire reception area was set up perfectly, and John had even managed to add a table onto our long head table so that no one in our wedding party had to sit with his or her back to the rest of the guests. It was a welcome change, and it just proved to us how thoughtful he is.Throughout the ceremony and reception, the entire Creative Services staff was so professional that it was like they weren’t even there. John would come up to us occasionally and ask how we were, then disappear again to work more magic. I asked to have the cocktail hour extended because everyone was having a good time, and the schedule change was no problem for John. He made sure we got fed first, and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s been a year since our wedding and we STILL have guests raving to us about the butternut squash ravioli! The only thing that went wrong with the evening, in fact, was that I didn’t think to grab an extra plate of ravioli for myself before they were all gone.If we ever need to plan any other kind of event, we know for sure we’d hire Creative Services Catering again in a heartbeat."

"This is a ‘Standing Ovation in Print’ for John Savage and his crew at Creative Services Catering for their performance at our Corporate Holiday Event. From our first conversation, John listened to my vision for the party and GOT IT. He addressed placement of things for a good ‘flow’ through the party and even suggested carpeting a cement floor for a warmer feel. We featured heavy hors d’oeuvres and his yummy food choices were able to accommodate a wide scope of needs such as vegetarian & gluten-free while also satisfying the heavy meat eaters. "Absolutely Amazing! The success of my wedding was because of John! I met John 3 days before my wedding events. The unimaginable had happened and at the last minute my original venue (w/ caterer included) decided to cancel our contract and not host our events. I had very specific menus planned for weekend wedding events and John and Chef immediately embraced the vision and made it a reality! And there were many details! My husband and I wanted an intimate gathering with very high quality meals. We didn’t want our wedding events to feel like a typical wedding. With this, John & Chef were very flexible and versatile. I wanted this intimate weekend gathering to be memorable! And John needed to nail the food! And he did! The food – you could tell that the food was made with great care and love. The taste of the food was EXTRAORDINARY! Not only was it DELICIOUS it was BEAUTIFUL! Execution – the staff was professional, well versed on the menu and the plans for the weekend, were aware of who had special dietary needs, helpful, accommodating. Precision would be another great word to describe the staff. They acted as a team and the execution was excellent! Not only did John oversee the entire kitchen, menu, meal preparation, wait staff, etc. he took on the role of event coordinator. As you can image, having just a few days to re-plan your entire wedding, there were many loose ends. John went above and beyond to ensure that everything was EXCELLENT! John is gifted.
